Mackenzie is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor who has experience working with children (age 3 and above), teens, and adults. Mackenzie graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2021, and then obtained her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Messiah University in 2023. She has over 4 years of experience working in the psychology and mental health field and has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
She has special interests in working with anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, depression, child behavioral disorders, and ADHD. She also has a special interest in working with chronic illness and the impact of physical health on mental health. Mackenzie provides a non-judgemental and accepting space for clients to explore their specific needs and achieve their therapeutic goals.
Mackenzie takes a holistic and eclectic approach to therapy and believes in treating each client based on their individual factors and experiences. Her therapeutic approach incorporates a variety of techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy, Art Therapy, and Play Therapy. Mackenzie strives to make a positive impact on at least one person every day.
