Social Worker Intern
Megan is licensed social worker (LSW) and a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) with four years of experience as a substance abuse counselor. She holds a Master of Social Work from University of Central Florida, a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Wilmington University and with an Associate's in Fine Arts, she enjoys incorporating art and other creative methods of expression in her work with others.
Megan specializes in addictions, religious trauma/spiritual abuse, Adult ADHD, and the impacts of societal and cultural oppression. She offers a warm, non-judgmental space for her clients to explore the issues that impact both their mental and physical health. Megan embraces an eclectic approach to therapy, is trained and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma, and uses interventions from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based CBT (MCBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Liberation Psychology, and Multicultural Practice with her clients, based on their needs and interests.
Megan is passionate about helping her clients find freedom from the patterns that keep them from living the values-driven, meaningful, and self-directed life they deserve.
