Social Worker Intern
Megan is currently a clinical intern working on her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Central Florida. Megan is a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) and has four years of experience as a substance abuse counselor. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Wilmington University and with an Associate's in Fine Arts, she enjoys incorporating art and other creative methods of expression in her work with others.
Megan specializes in addictions, religious trauma/spiritual abuse, Adult ADHD, and the impacts of societal and cultural oppression. She offers a warm, non-judgmental space for her clients to explore the issues that impact both their mental and physical health. Megan embraces an eclectic approach to therapy, using interventions from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based CBT (MCBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Liberation Psychology, and Multicultural Practice with her clients, based on their needs and interests.
Megan is passionate about helping her clients find freedom from the patterns that keep them from living the values-driven, meaningful, and self-directed life they deserve.
