Rachel Bonser, M.S., LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Rachel Bonser is a licensed professional counselor, nationally certified counselor, and licensed behavior specialist who completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at York College of Pennsylvania. She completed her graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling at Walden University.
She has worked in the mental health field since 2007 and began her work in group homes working with individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities. She has also worked as therapeutic staff support helping children diagnosed with autism and other behavioral disorders. She has also worked with adults diagnosed with autism as a community inclusion staff.
After receiving her graduate degree, she has worked in a variety of positions including outpatient therapist, mobile therapist, behavior specialist consultant, and behavioral services, specialist. She has worked with a variety of populations including children, adolescents, young adults, families, and adults.
Rachel utilizes a holistic, eclectic approach when working with clients. She believes in a multi-disciplinary approach to helping clients through treatment. Her therapeutic approach incorporates a variety of therapeutic aspects and techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered, and Mindfulness.
Her specialties include autism, anxiety, and depression. She also has training and experience working with child behavioral disorders (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiant disorder), trauma/abuse history, grief, panic disorders, mood disorders, developmental disorders, and anger.
