Licensed Professional Counselor
Dave has been working in the mental health field for twenty-one years. He was introduced into the profession by spending seven years in residential treatment facilities while obtaining his undergraduate degree from York College. Upon obtaining his undergraduate degree he worked as a mental health and drug and alcohol clinician for The Student Assistance Program (SAP) for eleven years servicing school districts in both York and Adams County.
Dave also worked with counseling drug and alcohol issues with adults for three years as well as working with children on the autism spectrum for the past ten years. He obtained his masters degree in counseling from McDaniel College and joined Bowman and Associates after receiving his licensure in 2022.
His primary areas of focus are addressing anxiety and depression, autism spectrum disorders, relationship concerns, self esteem and self confidence, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. Dave utilizes an eclectic approach of person-centered therapy combined with CBT and existential components tailored to address each client’s specific needs to provide them the opportunity to accomplish their therapeutic goals.
