Megan Fizer, LSW, CADC

Licensed Social Worker

Megan is a licensed social worker (LSW) and a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) with five years of experience providing therapy to a variety of populations. She offers a warm, accepting, non-judgmental space for her clients to explore the issues that impact both their mental and physical health. She is passionate about helping my clients find freedom from the patterns that keep them from living the values-driven, self-directed, and meaningful life they deserve.

She specializes in addictions, religious trauma/spiritual abuse, PTSD, complex trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and the impacts of societal and cultural oppression. She embraces an eclectic approach to therapy, using whatever methods work best with each person she works with.

She is trained and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma, and uses interventions from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based CBT (MCBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Liberation Psychology, and Multicultural Practice with my clients, based on their needs and interests. With her background in fine arts, she also enjoys incorporating art and other creative methods of expression in her work with others.
